What the club is
We’re building an open, welcoming community around fungi — spanning science, skills, creativity, food and culture. The club exists to connect people with different perspectives and levels of experience, and to make it easy to learn, share and do things together. There is no official membership: you simply come along.

Who it’s for
Fungi-curious to die-hards: absolute beginners, the just-interested, and long-time enthusiasts. We actively welcome people from different backgrounds and experiences, and nobody is judged — no prior knowledge required; curiosity is enough.
What we do
A varied annual programme, designed and coordinated by the Core Group and shaped by members’ interests. The themes we explore:
- Knowledge — identification, ecology, talks, library and shares
- Skills — cultivation, foraging, practical workshops
- Arts & making — dyeing, crafting, food and fermentation
- Community — dinners, socials, mutual aid, collaborations
Beyond the meetups, we connect online between gatherings on WhatsApp, so the club isn’t just a monthly event.
What we’re not
- Not cliquey or closed.
- Not a single-issue club (for example, only foraging).
- Not intimidating or “experts-only”.
- Not a platform to finance private businesses.
- Not a space where one view is the only view.
How to join
Come to a gathering — club events are listed on Eventbrite — or join the mailing list below and you will hear what is coming up. The club is free, funded by the non-profit’s surplus from walks, workshops and products. The events require a donation — we always suggest an amount, and you give as much or as little as you can. We do not have an official membership; people just attend events.
