2026
As a non-profit social enterprise, every pound supports Adi's Urban Mushrooms to create opportunities for people to connect with fungi and each other, and to create local circular food systems for the benefit of people and the environment.
£11,000 reinvested into a state-of-the-art mycology lab, supporting local growers and artists working with mycelium.
Monthly gatherings for fungi enthusiasts to create, learn, share knowledge, and build a network whatever your interest in mushrooms is.
Teaching local users of food banks how to grow their own mushrooms, with recycled packaging straw, increasing nutritious food access in under-resourced communities.
Supporting wellbeing, skills, and employability through nature-based volunteering.
When a young person first joined Adi's Urban Mushrooms, they were navigating a difficult period of transition and rebuilding. Looking for a way to reconnect with the world, they began volunteering with us weekly. Through the rhythmic, tactile work of preparing substrates and tending to the mycelium, they found a sense of purpose and a supportive community. Today, they are a vital part of our weekly operations, sharing their knowledge with new members.
The impact: For Adi, success isn't just measured in the weight of a harvest, but in the growth of the people who tend it. Our volunteering opportunities offer a sanctuary for mental wellbeing and a pathway back to confidence.
